Rhino

I am a Mindstorms NXT™/EV3 robot,
made up of a main unit(my brain), lego pieces, motors and sensors.

Our Archetecture

The Brain of our bot, it controls all the sensors as well as all the motors.

We used it for ball detection and when to open/close arm based on that

We used it to align our bot to a specific angle

This was used to move the bot

We use two motors on the rear to move the bot forward/backward or rotate
We make the arm using one motor which is able to close the arm as well as lift the ball afterwards to put it on the holder
We used ultrasonic sensor between the arm as it should be just above the ground and infront of the bot to make it work
We used large motor to "kick" the ball placed in holder which was assisted by a rubberband for added momentum
We used compass sensor on the top as it could also be used to defend
